06 July Fairford

Jo, Alexander and Oliver have come to visit Granny Annie and Grandpa Gerd just in time for Alexander’s third birthday. It is 18 months since they were here last and that was in January 06 when it was warmer and drier than it has been so far this July. Alexander and Oliver have been very busy visiting the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Kangaroo Joe’s play centre, a steam railway, the Fairford Church Fete and the Bibury Trout Farm as well as several trips to the local park and walks to see and feed swans, ducks and horses. They have also enjoyed playing football in the garden, playing with water and on a cart that grandpa made and helping granny water the greenhouse. Gran and grandpa are having a fantastic time! Actually the boys have done so much that the adults are exhausted.
Not surprisingly they have met quite a few relatives already. So far they have met Aunty Lucy (who also came to stay for a few days), Aunty Jenny, Uncle Mark and cousin Bethany, Uncle James and their second cousins Isabel and Molly as well as Uncle Dan and Aunty Kate. Annie, Jo and Lucy also enjoyed a night out at Restaurant Allium whilst Gerry bathed the boys and put them to bed – they behaved perfectly for him (what a relief for Gerry).
