12-13 August – Visit from Overlanding Friends
This weekend we enjoyed a visit from 3 of our fellow travellers in South America. Vicki, Carly and Ian spent 5 weeks on our truck as we travelled from Buenos Aires to Santiago. It was really super catching up with them and enjoying their company around a somewhat more civilised dinner table than we had been used to – no plastic plates and mugs or perching on plastic stools eating off laps! On Sunday morning we went for a walk showing them some of Fairford before ending up at the Bull for a drink. We were sorry to see them go when they left in mid afternoon but we had had a really super 24 hours with them.
