Margaret has a day in Devon

200-003.jpgOn Saturday 28th January, Annie and Gerry took Grandma Suter to visit her daughter Pam in Devon. It was the first time Margaret had visited Pam and Neil’s home in Holesworthy. The day dawned cold and the roads were icy and foggy but we made good time and arrived in time for lunch. Pam had made a lovely soup which filled us up nicely but did not stop us tucking into a lovely cheeseboard as well. Before we left we took Margaret out in her wheelchair so she could get some Devon air and see a little bit of the area around Pam and Neil’s home.

The journey home was excellent and took 3 hours but we were all quite tired by the time we got Margaret back into her room at Hyperion House. She had enjoyed herself but admitted it had been a very long day – not surprising really as it was the first time for several years that Margaret had been out of Gloucestershire!
