Today was Gerry’s 64th birthday. A special day as it was his first birthday in the UK for 8 years. Annie and Gerry had lunch at Basildon Park (a National Trust Property near Goring) and were later joined by Jenny and her children.
We had a lovely walk through the park which included following a halloween trail for the children. We then enjoyed a drink in the Tearooms before heading home for a special birthday cake!
Jenny and Mark then took us out for dinner at a very nice restaurant in Reading. It was a lovely evening and made better by the fact that we were staying the night at Jen and Mark’s and did not have to worry about driving home!
