Fairford – 31 Aug 2013

After suffering what the medics said was a virus for several weeks, Annie spoke to a different doctor who suggested that it might not be a virus and prescribed antibiotics, blood tests and a chest x ray. The antibiotics produced an immediate improvement but then Annie tripped and fell down some steps in the garden suffering bad bruising and grazes to many parts of her body, as well as a sprained ankle and a nasty wound over her left eye that needed several stitches. (Many thanks to A&E at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon).  So most of August has been a month we would like to forget.
However, on the last day of the month we enjoyed a super visit from our friends Carly and Ian and their delightful twin daughters Bree and Freya.  The girls had a lovely time playing in the garden, and feeding the ducks and the trout at the Fairford Mill pond.  Everyone enjoyed a delightful lunch prepared by Annie and the girls tucked in as well as any of the adults.  As usual it was a lovely visit that ended too soon!
